Lil Uzi Vert sounds unboxed again on Maverick ‘Almost Forever’

Lil Uzi Vert’s new eight-track EP arrives without the weight of a giant campaign. Maverick ‘Almost Forever’ is compact, playful and built around the kind of sudden pivots that made Uzi feel impossible to predict in the first place.

The project also introduces a more direct fan-world through Cor(e). That matters beyond one release: the next era is being framed as a relationship between artist and audience, not simply a sequence of songs fed into a platform.

Gas. Brake., Yoko and the London bonus cut are the immediate conversation starters, but the larger signal is momentum. Uzi sounds interested again—and the artwork’s suggestion of more music makes this feel like an opening scene rather than the full film.
